Connor recently discovers she has the gift of invisibility among other gifts, but what she
doesn't realize is that her life is about to change for the worse. She is 15, sarcastically funny, at least she thinks so, and doesn't always like to face reality.
Soon she meets five other teenagers who have abilities similar to hers, but not everyone is so eager to find answers as to why they are different. Sensing their lives are in danger, she is determined to figure out the truth by any means necessary, forcing her to grow up fast. Connor is slapped with the cold, hard, fact that the people she thought she knew are not who they appear to be and all human beings are not just that, human. Through all of this, Connor and Tony, another teen with abilities, start to develop feelings for each other, causing jealousy in more ways than one.
Then there is Ronin...he is young, smart, and breathtaking. He is set on taking his revenge out on Connor, but she has no idea why.
What teen doesn’t want superpowers?
But with superpowers, comes danger brought on by villains who want to destroy you.
So, do you stand and fight, or let others control your destiny? What would you do?

“First YA book is a winner! If I’d known it was this good, I’d have read this genre a long time ago. I certainly picked a winner as my first YA read –a book that quickly made it clear that it’s not the genre that has drawn me in but the engaging storytelling style of Dormaine G. Please tell me there’s a sequel! .
“Young Connor is a Gem with Attitude! Author Dormaine G. writes with wit, a wonderfully twisted plot and a pace that moves with speed and intensity. This is another of those hidden gems in YA fantasy reading!
“Loved this book! :) I don’t think I can begin to say how much I love Connor! This was such a fun, fun read that I’m pretty sure I’ll reread it in the future.
